Form Forwarding - Delay

Hi,

There is much of delay in forwarding form data, sometime it took 20-30
minutes and many times the data didn’t forwarded at all.
Any solution?

Thanks,
Shailesh

Hi Shailesh,

Delays are not uncommon. If you want to ensure you are able to see the
latest data you can always use the pull APIs.

We have been getting reports of missing forwards from other sources but
have thus far been unable to reproduce it. Can you please use the "report
and issue" button to give us more information about your project space?

thanks,
Cory

Hi Sailesh,

Like Cory said, we can help you out more specifically if you use the "report
and issue" button on the website. In general, delays often have to do with
a broken URL: a URL that sends a non-2xx response will be flagged as
faulty, and all submissions to it will be postponed for some time.

Best,
Danny

How long is the forwrding of future cases postponed for in case of an error
(broken link) and when the connection is resumed are all the forms sent out?

Hi Zaineb,

It increases the retry time with each error, so the longer the url has been
down, the longer the delay will be in resuming forwarding. It should
eventually retry all forms until it gets a 2XX response, although in this
scenario we do not guarantee proper form ordering.

Thanks Cory for your reply. I think the ordering should not be an issue as
long as we can be sure that we will get everything. However i am unable to
get any forms/cases forwarded to my server even though the test link (both
for cases and forms) is showing a 200 success response (using the test link
button) since yesterday...almost 24 hours. Do you think there could be some
other issue for this. Would really appreciate if you can look this up and
let me know. I have already emailed the commcareHQ support with details of
my domain but havent heard back from them.

Any help will greatly be appreciated

Thanks
Zaineb

Hi Zaineb,

You may have been affected by a piece of our backend infrastructure that
was down for several hours. Everything is back online and working normally
though backend jobs are a bit backed up.

I don't think we received the support ticket. If you still aren't seeing
any forms forwarded within a few hours please go ahead and resubmit it.
