Deleting cases without deleting user, and mobile users permissions

Dear All,

I am new to CC and I have few questions,please;

* Is it possible to delete cases from CommCare user without deleting 

user?. If so please let me know.
* What are different mobile users roles or permissions?.

Welcome to CommCare!

While it is not possible to delete a case from a particular CommCare mobile
user at this time, you can re-assign cases to other mobile users. Here is

For mobile user roles/permissions, there are three basic roles on the
phone: mobile user, admin, demo. Basic difference/permissions are:

  • Mobile user - requires user login, submissions are tagged by "username"
  • Admin - requires user login, gets an expanded list menu and
    submissions are tagged "admin"
  • Demo - does not require user login, submissions are tagged "demo_user"

For web user roles/permissions, here is some public wiki

As an alternative: One other option would be to use CloudCare along with a
form which can close the case, but you'd need to either be logged in as the
remote user, or you'd need to reassign the user to the user you're logging
into with cloudcare.

What is the workflow you're looking to accomplish? Remotely closing cases
for a user?

Does mobile users are able to download data by login through web?

Could you explain a bit more about what you'd like to do? Mobile workers do
not currently have much access to the reporting side of things, but there
may be some ways to support your workflow if you can describe it a bit more.
