Delete Case Property

Is there a way to delete unwanted case properties from the drop-down menu
that appears after uploading cases via Excel?
We are prompted to link Excel column headers to case properties, but often
there are properties we no longer use that we don't want to appear, as it
can confuse others.

Thanks!

Sherry,

Unfortunately there's no way to delete things from that list. It
automatically gets populated with any property name you've used on a case
before.

Does Dimagi plan on providing support for removing case properties on that
list at some point?

I think a lot of users use add case properties to forms and hidden value
logic - throughout our development and revision stages we have generated
many unwanted case properties that cause the list to be extremely long and
confusing to other teammates. It is really difficult to know exactly which
case properties we'll need in our final product from the very beginning,
especially if one uses an iterative feedback/revision process.

Thanks!

Hi Sherry,

We are always open to suggestions to improve the platform. I'd encourage
you to create this idea on our uservoice which feeds into how we prioritize
software development items: http://dimagi.uservoice.com/

cheers,
Cory

Is there now a way to delete case properties? There should be for the reasons mentioned by Sherry-Fu back in January of 2014.

If not, do you think it would improve performance to set all the unused case properties to blank? I have about 30 case properties I no longer use and opening followup forms takes a bit of time to load.

Has there been any evolution on that issue?

Thanks,
