Hello CommCare users,
I was reading the CommCare Data Export Tool page
https://wiki.commcarehq.org/display/commcarepublic/CommCare+Data+Export+Tool
And I encountered a challenge and got stuck at: 2. Install pip (a program
that automatically installs Python programs)
I am not sure I understand what this place is explaining, it asked to
install 'easy_install'.
How does one install the easy_install tool?.
Does anyone have an idea?
Thanx

Hello,
What operating system are you using? Have you successfully installed
Python? What version? The program easy_install is included with Python. On
Mac & Linux you can just call it easy_install, while on Windows you must
type the entire path to the program. I would love to help more if you can
give some more details.

Thank you Ken for helping out, my OS is windows7 and, yes I have installed
python 2.75. I want to run this command:
"(with easy_install) > c:\python27\scripts\easy_install commcare-export"
But I can't even see the scripts directory in the python27 folder. I even
searched for "pip" and "easy_install" in the folder, and its not there.
would really appreciate your help.

Hi Emeka,
I don't believe easy-install comes with Python for windows. To install
easy_install and pip, I normally install pip-win after installing Python.
