Correct URL for domain forwarding?

Hi,

I’ve setup a CCHQ 0.9 instance at http://202.53.172.36:8000, using Django
development server. I’ve created a domain at CCHQ 1.0 public instance. For
domain forwarding I’m using http://202.53.172.36:8000/ as url. Whenever I
submit data from mobile, I get a corresponding POST response but my data
does not get saved.

Is this url OK? How do I know if the submission url of xforms is correct?
By the way, the domain name I created for test purpose doesn’t match the
domain name at local server. Does it matter?

I tried with tcpdump but, the server doesn’t seem to receive any data.

Dear Sazzad,

It doesn’t matter if your test server matches the domain name of
www.commcarehq.org. Whether the submission URL will work is entirely
dependent on how your server is configured; whatever URL you point the
forwarder of www.commcarehq.org to, that’s where it will send the data. I’d
check the submission logs on your server to verify that they are seeing the
POSTs at all, and then your error logs to see if any errors are being
generated.

Hope this helps,

Rowena
