CommConnect message log / case linkage

Hi,

Trying to do some reporting on info in CommConnect. We’ve got a
CommConnect project that registers clients and their phone numbers to
cases, and then allows them to text in menu numbers to receive various
autoresponder messages.

I was thinking that I could just export cases and message log and link them
together in a database for reporting, but I’m not seeing how to connect
them. The cases export has infocase_id, which is unique, and both the
cases export and the messages have phone numbers, but those don’t seem to
be unique.

Any suggestions on how to identify which case an incoming message in the
message log is connected to (or how else i should be trying to accomplish
this?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

:)Ben

Hi Ben,

We’re going to be updating the message log to have the case id (or contact
id) available in the export so that this type of linkage is possible (right
now we store it, it’s just not exposed yet).

Thanks,
Giovanni

Super. Great news, Giovanni:).

Do you have a sense yet on when you’re expecting to roll that out?

Is there any as-yet unpublished way to access it in the interim?

Hi Ben,

Thanks - we don’t have an exact timeline, but we’re hoping to get something
done this month. Unfortunately there isn’t another way to access the
information, but we will let you know as soon as the feature is ready!

Thanks!
Sheel

Hi Ben,

This feature is now available - you’ll notice the case id’s in the exported
version of the report.

Thanks,
Giovanni
