CommCare Repeat Group

Hi,

I am working with repeat group and required assistance in the followings.

  1. How can we delete a particular item from the repeated group item?

(E.g. I have recorded 5 members and I wanted to delete 3rd member from the
repeated group)

  1. How can we make a repeat count of repeat group as one or unlimited

based on other control value? (E.g. If I wanted to register only household
head register member repeat group count should be one or if I want to
register all members, it should be unlimited)

Thanks for your time and cooperation.

Vipin

Vipin,

Unfortunately I don’t believe either of these to be directly possible. For
1 I think that the closest you could get would be to have a group that
repeats based on the value of an integer type question, then you could
lower this number from 5 to 4, for example. For 2 I think the closest you
could get would be to have two separate repeat groups, one unlimited and
one set, that change their visibility (relevance) depending on the answer
to another question (IE “Is head of household or not”).

Cheers,
Will

Hi Will,

Thanks for the reply and suggestions.

  1. When we decrease count, items does not gets decreased/removed although
the increase in count creates one more item.
  2. Two separate group will definitely resolve the problem but reporting
will be huge problem. There is no calculated (if and else) column in
    CommCare native reporting.

Thanks,
Vipin
