Commcare app not being compatible to some phones

Hi,

Somehow, the commcare app when downloaded on lenovo phones, it stops
functioning. Is it a compatibility issue?

Hi Gayatri,

It sounds like it’s possible that there is a hardware issue on the phones.
Though we don’t explicitly recommend any Lenovo devices:
https://help.commcarehq.org/display/commcarepublic/Recommended+Phones+and+Choosing+a+Phone
I haven’t heard of compatibility issues with them.

The steps that I would recommend include upgrading the Android OS on the
phones and making sure that you have the latest version of CommCare ODK. If
these steps do not help, please “Report an Issue” and I will follow up to
try to diagnose further.

Thanks,

Hi Gayatri,

I have a few mobile users who use a Lenovo device to run CommCare and
experience many problems. Its seems to me that Lenovo is not the greatest
device for running CommCare Apps. What I usually have to do is to switch
the tablet off and on and sometimes reinstall the application. Keeping the
Android iOS up to date as Nate mentioned is a good idea, as well as making
sure that you have the latest Playstore version of CommCare installed.

Kind regards,
Ameera
