I have been trying to configure automatic 'case closing' for cases when
the case is 9 months from registration date.
Hi Emeka,
Unfortunately its not currently possible to automatically close cases. We
don't do this on the mobile due to the risk of the phone's date being
incorrect leading to cases being closed when not needed.
There are a couple of options:
- On the mobile, create a special case list that contains cases that are
more than 9 months from the registration date, using the case list
filtering functionality (
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Case+List+and+Case+Detail+View+Configuration).
Then your mobile workers can be trained to go through that list on a
regular basis to close the cases. - Create a special administrator application that can be used to close the
older cases on a regular basis.
