Checkbox screen for saving and exiting the form

Hello, how do you add the the 'save and exit screen' including the checkbox
to the end of a form? I have seen / used this feature on phones in the
past, but can't seem to find out how to add this to the end of my form?
Currently, I can add a label saying something like ' you have reached the
end of the questionnaire', but then you have to click the back button to
exit the form and save it (whether complete, or incomplete) - i feel like
this leaves much more room for accidentally deleting the form, compared to
if when the 'checkbox' screen is available (e.g. as described in no.3
below, taken from the help site).

Sorry if I have missed something simple?!

Saving a form as incomplete

There are three ways you can save a form as incomplete:

  1. Pressing the back button during form entry (to cancel entry and
return to CommCare) results in a popup asking whether changes to the form
should be saved. If the user chooses to save the changes, the current form
will be saved and marked as incomplete.
  2. During form entry, if the user brings up the soft menu and chooses Save
    Form
, the form will be saved in its current form as incomplete.
  3. At the end of form entry there is a checkbox specifing whether the
form should be marked as complete (checked by default). If the
user unchecked the box and then clicks the button to exit, the form will be
    marked incomplete

Hi Sarah. I apologize because your confusion is coming from the fact that
that documentation is actually a bit out of date. That last screen at the
end of a form with the checkbox (described in option 3 that you pasted in
above) does not exist in the new CommCare user interface. Under the new
setup, if you want to save a form as incomplete, you can follow either of
the first 2 options described there. To submit a complete form, you just
need to press the small arrow in the top right-hand corner of the screen on
the final screen of your form (you'll know that you're at this point
because that arrow will turn green, from its previously blue color).

Thanks for pointing out the documentation error; I'll fix that now!

Best,
Aliza

Hi Aliza, thanks for your quick reply! Ah yes, I did notice the green arrow
at the end of the form and used it to submit some data, but good to know
that the checkbox screen no longer exists on the new interface.
Thanks!
Sarah

Hi Aliza,

In our application, Options 1 and 2 to save an incomplete form do not
exist. We cannot find a setting that allows us to "turn on" the
functionality to save an incomplete form. When we go "back", our only
options are to a) stay in form, or b) exit without saving.

Please advise.

Thank you,
Allyson

Hi Allyson. It sounds like your app has Incomplete Forms turned off (this
is a per-app user-configurable setting). If you want to turn it on,
navigate to Settings --> Android Settings, and toggle the 'Incomplete
Forms' drop-down menu to "Enabled".

Best,
Aliza
