Change of username/moving cases to new user

Hi,

For our CCM application in Malawi we are having health workers resigning
and another health worker taking over their role or running the village
clinic. In this case we would ideally like to create a new username/change
the existing username, so that that new user will have access to the
outstanding cases from the previous health worker. Is this possible? I
think it is possible on CommCare HQ to the change the first and last name
of the user and their password, but I am not sure it is also possible to
change the actual user name. Another way could be to perhaps assign
usernames that are linked to the name of the village clinic, rather than
the user and then when another health worker takes over just change the
first and last name and password?

Hi Marije,

You can actually re-assign cases from one user to another. This way you'll
be able to create a new user with their own username. Details are
reassigning cases are here:

In CommCareHQ, there is a tab titled 'Manage Data'. If you select this,
there is a page that will let you re-assign cases.

I don't think its possible to change the username of a user.
