Cases not registered

Hi,

My colleague and I have create an app in which mobile users registered a
total of 3000 cases and for each collected had 8 case properties. The case
type is called 'producteur' (see first picture attached). When I try to
export the cases, it says that no data exists for this case type (see
second picture attached).

Has this ever happened to one of you before? Can someone help on this issue?

Best,
Marie

Hi Marie,

That's quite odd - is the case type *Producteur *or producteur? CommCare
is case sensitive when it comes to case type names. Maybe the users
registered cases under the case type producteur and now you're trying to
export Producteur?

If that's not the issue, can you go to the Case List report and see if the
cases are listed there?

Thanks,
Sheel

Hi Sheel,

I am Marie's collegue.
It was a right guess.
The case type had been changed. Thank you for that.

However we are now exporting the cases and many information are missing.
Do you have any idea what it would be due to?

Thanks again for your help

Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

When you're creating a new export (choosing which columns to include), you
should get an option that states "Show Deleted Question and Advanced
Properties". If you choose this, you should be able to see all the case
properties for that case and choose which ones you want in the export.

The default is to only include case properties that are part of a current
application - my guess is that you've renamed the case type in your
application so CommCare now thinks there are no applications that use
this case type. So we're defaulting to a minimum set of columns for the
export.

Thanks,
Sheel

Hello Sheel,

I tried it out. Unfortunately the result is the same. I do see all the cases (one per line on the excel spreadsheet)but many cells are empty.
Do you have any other guess?

Thanks again for the support

Nicolas

hi nicolas, one possibility could be that those case properties were saved
as case properties after those cases were created and the forms that update
those properties were filled out, in which case those properties didn't get
filled up for those cases. could that have happened?

Hello Fiorenzo,

Thanks for the help.
It seems unlikely as Case properties were set up before filling out the cases (but have been slightly modified since) and there is no form that makes changes to the cases at this point.

Hello,

I think i found a work around (that might not be the cleanest way to do) . 1- I exported the forms of the cases, 2 - copied pasted the missing info from the forms export file to the cases export file and 3 imported the cases.

Merci
