Cascading select option in form builder

hi,
I just want to know whether cascading select option be included in the
form builder and is there any way around to include the cascading select
item (xml) from formhub into our commcare form

hi sheel shah,
Thanks for your earlier reply.I am medical officer
working in public health department and I am new to this mobile health
related area.Naturally , it's little bit confusing.
I tried for the cascading select options
from formhub.I replaced the itextid with item-label.But the labels are
missing.May i get clarified the following things what you mentioned in
your reply:

  • Update the instance block - remove the itextid node, and replace it with
something like item-label. Then change the node's value to be the label
    you want displayed
  • Update the itemset block so that the label node directly displayed the
item-label instead of displaying it as itext

Hi,

Its a bit of manual work, but you can setup cascading select options in
CommCare using Conditional Select Options (
Lookup Tables - CommCare Public - CommCare Public).

Alternatively, its also possible to use the cascading select items from a
formhub form in CommCare. However you will need to update the form so that
itext is not used for each displayed choice:

  • Update the instance block - remove the itextid node, and replace it with
something like item-label. Then change the node's value to be the label
    you want displayed
  • Update the itemset block so that the label node directly displayed the
item-label instead of displaying it as itext

Thanks,
Sheel

standard metablock
3.Bind nodes found but not associated with data node.bind nodes may be
discarded.
4..In cloudcare, SOMETHING UNKNOWN ERROR HAPPENED, INTERNAL SERVER
ERROR
