Bulk Reopen closed cases

Hello

I have a big list of cases that were registered in one application however
they were also closed in that application. I now need to use them again in
another application but I have no idea how to reopen those cases? I cannot
do it via bulk import and I cannot do it via archiving forms because it
will delete the case. Please Help this is urgent!

This Is urgent as the team are going to the field very soon. So if anyone
has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it!

Jesica,

I believe the standard procedure would be to archive the forms that closed
the cases.

Hi

I am having a similiar issue.

I need to reopen a whole lot of cases but cannot do that through archiving forms - The reason for that is complex, we had an issue in the past causing an error, it has been fixed now with the dimagi team but some of my historical forms are not accessible.

I tried using the case importer but it doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions on how I can reopen the cases - ideally in bulk?

I also need to bulk reopen cases. I've gone into the case records to archive the forms that closed the cases. I'm finding that the archive is only affecting that particular client and not archiving the form for all of the clients that were affected by the form. That means that I have several hundred clients for whom I have to archive 3 forms per case for to "reopen" them. Is there any other way to do this? I see the wiki instructions to archive forms, but it seems like they does not work for system forms.
