Hi Dini

Please could you give me a bit more context on where you are getting this
error. Also, I’ve cc’d the commcare-developers mailing list which is
probably the best place to ask these kinds of questions.

Thanks.

Hi Simon

I am sorry to be such a burden - I just wanted to ask what this message
error message means:

Validation Error: 1 Unrecognized attributes found in Element [data] and
will be ignored [name] Location

I initially thought it was the hidden fields having text values as default
values that was the problem - I removed them and still the problem persists.

Kind regards

Hi Dini

We can’t provide access to the database but we do have a number of
different API’s that you can use which are documented here:
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/CommCare+HQ+APIs

There is also a tool that you can use to export data from CommcareHQ:
https://github.com/dimagi/commcare-export

Perhaps if you told is a bit more about what you’re trying to do we
could better answer your question.

Best regards
Simon

Good afternoon gentlemen

I trust all is in order. I’m sending this e-mail in connection with the
above-mentioned subject. We just spoke to one of our lecturers pertaining
to retrieving the information from the CommCareHQ cloud database. He
mentioned something about web services that you - at Dimagi - might have
available.

  1. Are we allowed access to your database in the cloud server?
  2. Do you have available web service (that we can have access to) with
methods that already unpack the information so we can save it to our
    database?

This is for project requirements at university - we don’t plan on using
it for business; it is the only thing we aren’t too sure of at this point.

Kind regards
Dini Ngewu

Dini,

Sorry about the trouble. The error you’re seeing there is not actually what
is preventing the form from working. That looks like it is a warning that
is appearing at the top of the output which is clipping the actual error
off the screen.

Simon: Is there a way to view the actual error from this trace? Maybe the
online validator?
