Assigning case to more than one group

Hello,

I am deploying a commcare app and came up with following use case scenario.

There are 17 health centers each using Android phone for creating cases and
entering data. The 17 facilities use one laboratory for conducting lab
test. The lab does not and should not create new cases- they only need to
have access to the cases created by the 17 facilities. The lab technician
needs to have access to the cases created by the 17 facilities to enter lab
results for each case. The health workers in the 17 facilities should not
see the cases of other facilities (see only their own).

How do I implement this scenario? I read the documentation provided
here: Assigning cases to one of multiple groups - CommCare Public - CommCare Public
However, this use case scenario presumes that the nurse at the health
center creates new cases and assigns it to the CHWs in the villages.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Brian,

If you create a case sharing group for each health center and then add the
facility user to those groups, they'll be able to see all the cases at each
facility. However, the health centers will only be able to see their own
cases (and cases they create will be for their own case sharing groups).

Thanks,
Sheel

As you noted, the health centers will only be able to see their own cases.
However, I also want one lab user/group (a central lab that provides
service to all health centers) to see all cases created by all health
centers and enter lab results in to the cases. Is this possible?

My apologies. I meant to say "lab user" below.

Create a lab user and add it to all the health center groups. They will
then be able to see all the cases at all the health centers.
