Application "syncs" but forms remain on tablet

Hello,

Sorry for a question that doesn't have much supporting documentation---I'm
asking for our field office.

They've been attempting to send completed forms via wi-fi. On some
occasions, the application syncs and provides a message that the forms have
been sent successfully, but in the "saved" folder, all the completed forms
remain.

Has this happened to anyone else? If it were an issue of bandwidth, and we
received an error message, I would understand. But the "success" message
(despite forms not being actually successfully sent) has us confused.

Thanks in advance for any light anyone can shed.

Best,
Sarah

Sarah,

Sorry for the confusion, this is expected behavior.

CommCare actually retains your Sent forms on the device for a limited
period (configurable in your application settings menu) as a resource for
users to be able to review submitted forms (in case they need to view them
again, or need to enter the data into a different system).

You can disable this functionality in your app settings on CommCareHQ if
you don't want the forms to be retained for any period after they are
submitted. Retaining the forms generally doesn't place a significant burden
on device storage or speed, however.
